so I take creative writing at my high school
well there's this website that hosts scholarship competitions (I think in just where I live, the state i mean) called Thea Foundation, look it up if you want, maybe i'll put a link later.
our class has a mix of juniors and seniors.  this competition was for seniors and the prize was 3,000$ and $2,000!  I wasn't crazy itching to win, but I did want to write something really good for it!  I've always felt that I'll never win win which i think started in 1st or 2nd grade when i then and there gave up on everrrr getting straight a's hahahahah!!  But anyways.  the seniors had to enter, and the juniors had to write for the grade.  it was a creative essay in which it had to be written based off of an image that was presented on the site and had to be less than 1,000 words.  Well!  The first couple of ideas I had ended up being too long and too complex for it (the story only needs two characters, anymore is too much).  By the time i had a good story I was working on it last minute and wah-la what I ended up turning in was basically a rough draft and hadn't been read by anyone in my class (we had peer reviews to help each other out).

I was so happy.  so so so so happy.  
I've done something, something that was liked.  something that was noticed despite its rough and horrible grammarness.  
I'm enemies with grammar.  hahaha
and while I think many people my class had great stories, I thought hard on mine.  I realized that I'd really put thought into what I wanted it to feel like.  I wanted a story that would reach people, no matter how lame it would end up being.  I wrote about invisibility and titled the story "bugs do it for survival".  so!!  I guess I would really like to post it here!  but first I have to fix it and make it presentable to the wonderful people of DA!!!!  I know I'm not well known, or popular on here, but I'm sooooo happy that it was liked, and read, and yeah.
